Privacy Policy
Effective: June 4, 2026
ServiceUp, Inc. ("ServiceUp," "we," "us," "our") operates an AI-powered repair platform that connects vehicle fleets with repair shops. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect through serviceup.com, our applications, and related services (the "Services"), how we use and share it, and your choices. It does not cover third-party websites we link to.
By using the Services, you agree to this Policy, which is incorporated into our applicable Terms & Conditions.
Information We Collect
Information you provide:
- Contact and account information: name, email, phone number, business name, job title, and login credentials of account holders, authorized users, fleet drivers, shop personnel, and others whose information is provided in connection with a repair.
- Vehicle and repair information: VIN, make/model, license plate, photos, damage and repair details, and service location.
- Payment and financial information: billing details and, for shops, bank account information for disbursements. Card payments are handled by our payment processors; we do not store full card numbers.
- Communications: messages, support requests, and anything else you submit to us.
Information we collect automatically: device and browser type, IP address, pages viewed, referring links, approximate location, and your activity on the Services, through cookies and similar technologies.
Information from third parties: service providers and partners (such as Google, Meta, and HubSpot) and the fleet or shop accounts you are associated with, which may provide information about their drivers, employees, and other personnel in connection with a repair.
We do not seek to collect sensitive personal information, biometric identifiers, or information about anyone under 18, beyond what is necessary to provide the Services.
How We Use Information
- Provide and coordinate repair services between fleets and shops: scheduling, approvals, payments, and status updates.
- Create and manage accounts and provide customer support.
- Process payments and shop disbursements.
- Communicate with you, including service updates and, with your consent where required, marketing.
- Analyze, secure, improve, develop, and train the Services and related technologies, including the artificial intelligence and machine-learning models we use to power features such as estimates, routing, and recommendations. Our AI and automated systems may generate estimates, suggest repair routing, or surface recommendations that influence how services are coordinated. These systems do not make final binding decisions without human involvement; fleet customers and shop personnel retain the ability to review, modify, and approve all repair authorizations and payments. If you have questions about how automated features may affect you, contact us at privacy@serviceup.com.
- Detect and prevent fraud and misuse, and comply with our legal obligations.
- We may de-identify or aggregate personal information and use it without restriction for any lawful business purpose; de-identified and aggregated data is not personal information.
How We Share Information
- Fleets and shops. To coordinate a repair, we share relevant vehicle, repair, contact, and status information between the fleet and the repair shop performing the work.
- Service providers. Cloud hosting and analytics, payment processors, communications (email/SMS) providers, and CRM and marketing vendors, who may use the information only to perform services for us.
- Advertising partners. We use cookies and similar tools with partners such as Google and Meta for analytics and advertising.
- Legal and safety. When required by law, to respond to lawful requests, to enforce our agreements, or to protect the rights, safety, and property of ServiceUp, our users, or others.
- Business transfers. In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets.
- Professional advisors and financing partners. Our auditors, insurers, attorneys, accountants, and other professional advisors, and our lenders and financing partners, in connection with our business operations and financing arrangements.
We do not sell your personal information for money. Our use of advertising and analytics cookies may be considered a "sale" or "sharing" under California law; you can opt out as described in Your Choices and Rights.
Cookies and Analytics
We use first and third-party cookies and similar technologies to operate the Services, remember your preferences, measure performance, and support advertising. You can control cookies through your browser settings or through our cookie consent tool where available. We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signals as an opt-out of "sharing" for cross-context advertising. We do not currently respond to Do Not Track (DNT) browser signals; if you wish to limit tracking, please use a GPC signal or adjust your cookie preferences as described above. Where we use Google Analytics, IP addresses are anonymized.
Text Messages
If you provide your mobile number, you consent to receive service related text messages, and marketing text messages where you have separately opted in, which may be sent using automated technology. Consent to marketing texts is not a condition of using the Services. Message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help.
Your Choices and Rights
- Marketing. Unsubscribe via the link in any marketing email, or reply STOP to texts. We may still send transactional messages (e.g., repair status, receipts, account notices).
- Your information. You can review and update your information in your account or by contacting us.
- Opt out of targeted advertising / "sharing." Use a GPC signal, adjust your cookie preferences, or email privacy@serviceup.com.
California residents. To the extent the CCPA applies, you may request to know, access, correct, or delete your personal information, and opt out of its "sale" or "sharing," and you will not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. The categories of personal information we collect and disclose are described in Information We Collect and How We Share Information. Submit requests to privacy@serviceup.com; we will verify your identity before responding and you may use an authorized agent.
Other state residents. Residents of certain other states, including Virginia, Colorado, Texas, and other states with applicable privacy laws, may have additional rights regarding their personal information, including the right to access, correct, delete, or opt out of certain uses of their data. To submit a request or learn more about your rights, contact us at privacy@serviceup.com.
Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide the Services, maintain your account, comply with legal and tax obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. As a general guide: account information is retained for the duration of your account and for a reasonable period thereafter; repair and transaction records are retained for at least seven years to satisfy tax, legal, and audit obligations; marketing and communications data is retained until you opt out or for a reasonable period of inactivity. When personal information is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it.
Security
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards, including encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest, access controls, and an independently audited security program (SOC 2 Type 2), to protect personal information. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Data Location
We are based in the United States and store and process information here. If you access the Services from outside the U.S., including from the European Union or United Kingdom, you consent to the transfer of your personal information to the U.S., where data protection laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction. If you are an EU or UK resident and have questions about cross-border data transfers or the legal basis for processing your information, contact us at privacy@serviceup.com.
Children
The Services are intended for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have, we will delete it.
Changes
We may update this Policy from time to time. Changes are effective when posted, with the "Effective" date above updated. We will note material changes on the Services.
